Marathon, FL (February 20, 2017) – The well-known musical, Cabaret, is scheduled to open at Marathon Community Theatre (MCT) on Thursday, March 9, 2017. 

The scene is the raucous Kit Kat Klub, a night club in Berlin in the year 1929 where the Emcee invites you to leave your troubles outside and come hear the music play.  Musical numbers include Cabaret, Mien Herr, Money Song, Maybe This Time and many more.  Cabaret won eight Tony Awards, the movie version won eight Oscars and a 1998 Revival won four Tonys and Three Drama Desk Awards.  MCT is known for outstanding musical productions and this is certainly one of them.  Come experience the talents of our local friends and neighbors.  This is a production that you don’t want to miss.  Please make note regarding “adult situations” for this performance. 

Cabaret is directed by Ann Hart.  Assistant Director is Jim “Boomer” Kelly.  Producer is Fred Hundhammer, Music Director is Devin Clarke and Choreographer is Sarah Brignac. 

Performances run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning March 9 through April 8, 2017 and begin promptly at 8:00 p.m.  A Sunday matinee is scheduled for March 26 and begins at 3:00 p.m.
